Why is almost everyone on Degri from The Disney Channel?

I love Degri but i'm just curious because Holly.J. Played by Charlotte Arnold was from Naturally Sadie, and Eli (forget the guy who plays him) is from The Latest Buzz, and Other people are from movies and stuff?? thankss
