Is it a widespread truth that women like motorcycles?

Curiously, after some "biker bar" comments recently, I had a biker situation and about. I was on my motorcycle after work and stopped by to check on a stressed out friend. She wanted to go for a ride on the back of my bike when she saw me pull up. I had no extra helmet with me so I declined. I've noticed quite often that many women seemed inclined to want a ride on a motorcycle.
