Books where the main character dies?

i don't know any books like that but i do know a book where the main person dies. The Outsiders by S.E Hinton its more about gang life and its so far been a pretty good book all except the names are kinda weird like Ponyboy and Sodapop and two-bit but other than that because of its original names except for Darry and Dally its easy to remember
